Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini orders crackdown after Patwaris caught uploading fake crop damage photos

Chandigarh,05,DEC,2025,(India Today News Ca):- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini ordered a strict crackdown on December 5, 2025, after Patwaris were caught uploading identical fake photos on the E-Kshatipurti portal to falsely claim crop damage compensation. Several Patwaris from districts including Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, Jind, Fatehabad, Gurugram, and Dadri were immediately suspended, with further actions pending investigation.​Fraudulent activities involved repeated use of the same images to report non-existent crop losses, misusing government funds meant for genuine farmers affected by monsoon rains. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized transparency in loss assessments during a Revenue Department review meeting, directing Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Dr. Sumita Misra to compile district-wise reports and disburse compensation within a week.
