Chandiagrh,09,DEC,2025,(India Today News):- Harpal Singh Cheema, Punjab’s Finance Minister and a senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, criticized the Congress party on December 8, 2025, suggesting it display a “menu board” or “price list” outside its office showing alleged fixed rates for political posts like Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister, MP, MLA, and Panchayat positions.
Cheema’s remarks stemmed from recent allegations by Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who claimed the Congress Chief Minister post was sold for ₹500 crore, and earlier claims by Sunil Jakhar that Charanjit Singh Channi paid ₹350 crore for the role. He highlighted the silence from Congress leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and others, while contrasting AAP’s transparent job allocations under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, which have provided over 56,000 positions to youth.
Cheema also accused the BJP of similar inaction against implicated leaders now in its fold and defended Sidhu against Karnataka Congress remarks labeling her unstable.
